Will Wenger trust Henry and RVP to start against Swansea?
|Winning at Swansea has proved a bridge too far for most teams this season, but Arsenal are 1.8 shots with bet365 to bag all three points on Sunday and get back into the premiership top four.
The Gunners trail fourth-placed Chelsea by one point after losing 2-1 to Fulham in their last league start, but regained some confidence with a 1-0 win over Leeds in the FA Cup thanks to a goal from Thierry Henry.
Whether the on-loan Frenchman will make his first league start for the club in five years remains to be seen as Arsene Wenger can confirmed that Robin van Persie will be making the coach trip down to Wales.
The flying Dutchman has scored 17 of Arsenal’s 36 goals this season and since he has been rested Arsenal have looked to be lacking badly in front of goal.
But given that Swansea have a good home record and only one side – Manchester United – have managed to secure three points on their own patch this season he will surely be in the starting X1.
Chances for Arsenal are likely to be few and far between judge’s on Swansea’s performances in front of their own fans, and van Persie is the one player who can be relied upon to take an opportunity that presents itself.
He is a 4 shot with bet365, Boylesports and Paddy Power to net the opener, and If anyone is going to break the deadlock for the Gunners it will surely be him once again.
bet365 also go 1.91 about him scoring anytime and I would suggest backing him in both markets to hopefully secure a profit.
Henry is a 6.5 chance to net the first goalscorer market, but I can’t see Wenger wanting to play both him and Van Persie together upfront.
I think the Gunners will prove too strong for the Swans and grab a narrow vital victory.
Arsenal to win 1-0 or 2-1 is my idea of the outcome, and those scorelines can be backed at 7 with Betfred and 8.5 with bet365 respectively.
I think Arsene Wenger will play Henry second half and i predict a score line of 3:1 in favour of Arsenal
Long live Arsenal FC
I see no reason why Henry shouldn`t be given 60 mins. He can play on the left of midfield and RVP plays in the middle. Of late if RVP doesnt score no one else seems to be a real goal threat. For that reason Stop RVP and a result is the likley case. So teams can afford to not pay too much attention to other players. But with Henry playing Swansea would have to not concentrate on one player cos all of a sudden Henry can work wonders. This opens up the game better and our attacking threat increases. We need these three points as I have a feeling Chelsea are going to slip up this weekend.
Well to be honest. He has to play, maybe at left back, since we have no players anymore. Wenger called me yesterday, but that ain`t gonna happen. Seriously, we are in trouble, i would like to predict an arsenal win, but honestly, i think we will loose or draw at best. We have a redused squad and we will need any sort of good fortune come sunday.
