Ryo Miyaichi impresses on Bolton debut
|

Arsenal’s Japanese starlet Ryo Miyaichi made his first appearance in a Bolton shirt yesterday against Wigan, coming on as a second half substitute for winger Martin Petrov.
The 18-year-old, who signed for Owen Coyle’s men on loan in January, put in an impressive shift on the left wing causing Wigan problems with his blistering pace and trickery.
Miyaichi will hope to follow in the footsteps of team-mate Jack Wilshere who enjoyed a successful spell at the Reebok before returning to cement his place in the Arsenal side.
You can watch highlights of Ryo’s performance for Bolton below, complemented by the sportsbook review, below:

Love his ballcontrol and his enthusiasm for the game. Hopefully the next 3,5 months will see him develop massively under Coyle as Wilshere and Sturridge did. I’ve earlier claimed he’s atleast a big of a talent as Chamberlain and already should start ahead of Walcott (as he goes missing when he doesn’t get any space) because of his close control and creativity.
Pretty sure Miyaichi will take Arshavin’s place in the squad during the summer.
Anyway, it’s interesting. As far as I heard the reports of Ryo’s performance in the Reserves, the experts weren’t carried away with his form, so it was a huge surprise that Owen Coyle wanted to loan him.
I hope Ryo will save Bolton from the relegation.
he is an improved and more agile version of arshavin. nice connection with klasnic, i believe ryo will provide lot of assists for this guy. bolton wont be relegated, they play beautiful football
I love the commentator who seems to loose it at 4.05.
He should be on MOTD?
Ryo looks so f’ing exciting. Love how fearless he is. Extreme speed, close controll and great understanding of the game. This guy will be world class. Hope bolton stays in the prem, because i like coyle’s way of playing. Coyle just needs time so he can get the right players to play the way he wants.
Ryo’s stint at Bolton will see his return in a firm place in Arsenal’s 1st XI.
He is defintely great with the pace and still has the control of the ball.
A definite ARSENAL XI player!
I can’t believe this guy never got a chance at Arsenal. Wenger is so damn stubborn always favoring old, experienced internationals over exciting youth prospects 🙁
Needs some upper body muscle mass to become an athlete. The Japanese C. Ronaldo?
I don’t know if it was just because it was against Wigan, but he looks obscenely fast, and with the ball at his feet too. Just the sort of player we should be trying to mold. Hopefully he can keep his head down, continue to learn and shine. How is his English? Because maybe that is something keeping him from being on the same schedule as AOC in terms of making the side.
