Ryo Miyaichi impresses on Bolton debut

Arsenal’s Japanese starlet Ryo Miyaichi made his first appearance in a Bolton shirt yesterday against Wigan, coming on as a second half substitute for winger Martin Petrov.

The 18-year-old, who signed for Owen Coyle’s men on loan in January, put in an impressive shift on the left wing causing Wigan problems with his blistering pace and trickery.

Miyaichi will hope to follow in the footsteps of team-mate Jack Wilshere who enjoyed a successful spell at the Reebok before returning to cement his place in the Arsenal side.
