Chamakh heads to shisha bar after QPR loss
|Marouane Chamakh is one of several fringe players expected to leave Arsenal at the end of the season – and that won’t come as a surprise to many Gooners.
The 28-year-old hasn’t scored for the club since September’s Premier League defeat against Blackburn Rovers, with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain keen to take him back to France where he was a huge success.
Following yesterday’s loss at QPR, Chamakh travelled to a London-based Shisha bar with his close friend and international team-mate Adel Taarabt, who earlier opened the scoring for Mark Hughes’ side.
Shisha is a water-pipe, popular in many Arab countries, in which fruit-scented tobacco is burnt using coal, passed through an ornate water vessel and inhaled through a hose. A recent study found that one shisha-smoking session is as bad as smoking one hundred cigarettes.
Chamakh became part of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger’s long-term plan for the north Londoners in July 2010, after his contract with Bordeaux expired.
In his first season with Arsenal, the Moroccan international scored 11 goals, assisted eight times and appeared in 44 games.
Good Riddance……he’s rubbish and the fact that he smokes that thing proves it!!!
You and Ramsey can go
Yes the sooner he goes the better, he doesn’t look too bothered does he sitting there smoking that rubbish.
Goodbye Mr
Enough with the Ramsey bashing! Ramsey will be a star, just you watch.
People are always saying about Wenger “why did he stick a player on the bench when he was performing” and forget he notcies things about players thatwe don’t. When RVP was out and Chamakh took over he did rather well, but when RVP came back he was benched and everyone said Wenger probably killed his morale. The opposite way around when Rosicky was playing people kept on saying “why is he playing he is washed up” but recently he has been one of our best players……..same with Song, now Ramsey…..people say WHY IS HE PLAYING because he is CRAP!! Wenger KNOWS what he is doing…….look at Chamakh Wenger probably saw his attitude nd also with Song, Ramsey, Rosicky everyone questions if Wenger is losing it, then a few months later praises the lord that Wenger stuck by a player.
Imagine if Wenger didn’t stick by Rosicky or Song, we would be in a bad position right now.
He is a good player. How do expect him to score goals if he doesn’t play. He has no chance to play full games while VP is fit and performing well.
I think dat guy is a fooll…
Chamack is not serious, if he is serious with arsenal how can he go drinking after that defeat to QPR.
I don’t blame him.
Chamakh on a crap day is a million times better than the welsh twat Ramsy who is hated and loathed by all arsenal fans now!
The main and only reason we are losing again is because Ramsy is fit.
A good injury to Ramsy can save arsenal.
Unite in prayers people !
Get rid of the big fairy,no wonder he cant run sucking on that crap.Earns a fortune for doing f… all. Sell him to any mugs that want him
This guy probably has multiple small injuries here and there that he and medical staff underestimate, otherwise why did he completely lose edge and competitiveness.
i dont care what he does in private. he is a football player and he should do the talking on the pitch. for the last year he hasn`t done anything, most probably will be sold, and in podolski we finally have someone who could turn up games like the qpr`s. chamakh went in and seemed total rubbish
This “I dont care what he does in private” Think about it as if you owned and ran a business. Would you not be worried that one of your staff was having serious domestic problems and would therefor be unable to concentrate on his work!
If you are caught up in off field “affairs” or “problems then your full interest in your job will be affected. Just think how many possible great players never made it because of their off field activities.
I for one have no problem with players going out after a defeat. In my time as an active player I often went out after we lost a game, that does not mean I didn’t care.
Adam, you disgust me. You want Ramsey to have an injury? Thats a horrible attitude to a player who NEEDS our SUPPORT, not our constant critisism. God some Arsenal fans do my nut in sometimes.
you know nothing about Arsenal fans, a lot of us realise he is still finding his feet after such a horrific injury and he will get better. How would you response if the same happen to you
Ramsey is in arsenal first team because of the absence of wilsere and diaby,so let wait for thier return and see if ramsey will be in arsenal first team or not.
Chamakh did rather well when RVP was out injured last season.
Ever since rvp’s return he has been benched. So how could we say he has been out of form… Or that he Hasn’t scored since Blackburn’s game back in Sep. This guy simply hasn’t played consistently.I admire wenger but in all honesty he killed chamakh’s game and his morale…. Chamakh scored when he had the likes of wilshere, nasri and fabregas who delivered good passes as he is a player who runs behind defenders to score. His game is not compatible with the way that Ramsey, arteta and song distribute the ball…
@Maverick: Chamakh lost his place last year due to injury. It more-or-less coincided with RVP coming back, but he wasn’t simply dropped for the bigger name.
I disagree with the compatibility comment also. He was often played through 1-on-1 only to turn and try to pass rather than take the shot on. He did score a couple like that early on, basically by arriving at the ball milliseconds before the keeper and poking it past him, rather than having a few seconds to think about it and actually beat the keeper.
His scoring game is helped most by crosses into the box – it’s the only way he’s at all likely to score – and his general game is best with simple passes into feet with runners off him, which we have in the current side with ramsey, rosicky and others. At his best he makes runs wide and in behind but he’s best with it into his feet from what I’ve seen. Imo, his game should be compatible with the current setup, although the bordeaux side seemingly benefited from having a major goalscoring midfielder when they won the league, which we don’t really have at the moment. His confidence is gone, for whatever reason, and he looks like he needs a move.
I would feel 10x more confident of Park coming on and scoring a goal than Chamakh these days, and it baffles me that Chamakh is consistently preferred. Chamakh’s movement (or relative lack of it) is probably better for a target man, whereas Park seems to move around too much into less useful positions, which might be better if he had a strike partner, but you’d think he’d need some game-time to get used to the role. That aside there’s not one area of Chamakh’s game that seems to be superior. Park is much more confident and willing to shoot from outside the box as well as inside, he’s at least as strong, at least as good in the air, at least as skilled on the floor, and quicker. It’s a no-brainer to me. What use is a striker who’s afraid to take on a keeper when put through 1-on-1?
Most of these ramsey-haters are just trolls. Don’t encourage. Didn’t see the last game, but Aaron’s looked promising to me. Probably shouldn’t be starting every game, which he isn’t now anyway, but he does get into good positions, and shows good skill, passing ability and has the confidence to shoot. Of the CMs currently at the club, he appears most likely to ever be a true goalscoring midfielder.
He’s a joke like of Bendtner and co!! Never get serious only there to collect our wages…………….. He should just f*** off like Ramsey
I will never criticize Ramsey if am not in a position to do that! Pls do ur analysis well and tell me how many match Jack Wilshere played last season, then tell me ow many time he was caught wanted!! What is wrong with Ramsey is that he does want to be himself but to imitate Cesc which can’t be! We need him to be his boot and not to wear anyone’s boot bcos the best teacher is always being oneselves ok!! He hold ball and start romancing and toying wit ball unnecessary until an opponent came to snatch off his feet, he’s never eager to take back position when he did dat and he never knows how to mark, cover and win balls, he’s very selfish with d ball which a good midfielder never does, atleast is whole aim is to feed the strikers to score but he rather prefer to useless that ball!! Too bad!! Don’t u think RVP suppose to have scored more than this if we have gotten a better midfield maestro but wit Song he’s still trying!! Ramsey is a sh** nothing more neva a professional but a imitator!! Too bad for him
Bloody Disgrace.
Shamack the smoker pls give us chance or leave the emirate door is open Alan smoker ,that your head like that of a Guinea Fowl fool
he needs games to play, since august every game ramsey starts we either loose or draw.ramsey should be sold or given out for free.he sucks
Chamake is not a player for arsenal, now ramsey is now a big flop, tottenham come from bench and the match is won, but in arsenal chamake in and then arsenal lost the game. How many scoring chances chamake get when he entered? ANS zero. As against man. City if ramsy and chamake any part arsenal will lose 95% but if both did not play any part arsenal win 99.9%
Why should him go and smoke whereby we lose so important match like that ,though he knows that he is going to leave in the summer for sure fuck him.
@Adam:
How can some people be so stupid with only one head? Ramsey has guts and determination mixed with huge amounts of skill. He WILL be an Arsenal legend.
This Ramsey argument is just polarised. On the one hand there’s people saying he’s class and that he’s incredible and that he needs more time. On the other there’s the lads and ladettes that say he’s crap enough we should sell him.
The overriding factor here is, there is a combination of the two factors, which is the old cliche, “form is temporary, class is permanent”. He is on terrible form, and has been whenever he’s played for a few months, but that doesn’t mean he has no potential. We’ve all seen that class of his, and I don’t think it’s a mental issue, he’s still gotten into tackles. If I’m being honest, I think his form has dipped because physically, he still isn’t the same as he was. That much time out will harm any player unless they’re incredibly special.
Basically, what I’m trying to say is, Ramsey does have class, and he should show it soon, but his form is bad and he shouldn’t be guaranteed his place. Calls for him to be sold are too far, but calls for him to be dropped for a bit of time aren’t, it might buck his ideas up and stop the complacency that he’ll be guaranteed his first team place.
Ramsey remind me of young bale slow frustrating every game he played sp*rs never won people were called for his head but now look as much as it pains me he is a good player Ramsey will be the same mark my words
Guys, get behind the gunners instead of moaning. If you support the players they will be more willing to give extra, challenge hard and chase the ball. If you sit there expecting a trophy you might as well support man utd.
In Wenger we trust
Nothing new you show to the club, so it’s better now to leave.
we arsenal are so hypocritical, why are we look for excuses when we loose,we should let the arsenal doctors and wenger look for excuses,we should demand answers from them!,or WE SHOULD NEVER COMPLAIN OF LACK OF SILVERWARE,because surely if you have players like Ramsey, chamack and the rest surely who are you challenging the champions league or Europa league.
I don’t think you guys knows what u talking about .. Do u think life end after the defeat ?? Come on people live continue 🙂 don’t expect him or anyone else sit in the corner and cry …not chamack not vp or wgnr .. That guy if fe get a chance and confidence had will be good ..he scores 11 goals …that’s not by coincidence ..but the coach keep ignoring him or if he is playing nobody is giving him a ball ..how come when we have a striker like him playing we are waiting for defenders to score ….doesn’t make sense .anyways I think better for him to leave ..
Oh yes, id.io.t, when RVP gets injured are we gonna put your mother in to get our goals????? Chamakh did well when, RVP was injured and Bendnter was doing f..k all for us by slaloming around. Anyways, how long has it been since RVP scored, he an arse, Arteta could have scored thru the freekick we got, but the arse wipe shoed Arteta away to shoot it straight into the wall, he is a selfish and he only wants to add more goals to get a record shit. He never assits and when he leaves end of this season IO will be very happy, bcos he screwed our great chance against Barcelona by getting a red card and screwing all of GOONERS,he is never gonna score, u mark my words, Chamakh played 15 minutes and in that time he got us at least 3 freekicks, which RVP and Vermalaen screwed completely. We should get rid of this two, either they are injured or they screw it for us…hope they get injured and the real big hearted players like Chamakh, Arteta, Benayoun etc gets some time to play and shit on all this idiots.
RVP was rubbish, what did he do? how many has he missed< against Milan, let me not start, at least Chamakh went about in that 15 minutes to get 3 freekicks..which did shit…
ur n idiot, Chamakh came in for 15 minutes, were u stoned, how many misses did RVP do????? were u on drugs man, at least Chamakh tried and he got us 3 freekicks which ur fuck all Robin n Vermalaen shot straight into the wal???why didn’t this idiot Robin let Arteta take the freekick… this bastard RVP is useless already….he will not score any more goals for us or worse when he gets injured do we call your mother to come and strike for us…no thats when you need Chamakh you idiot
Get Read of him arshavin djouruo almunia and wallcot bring in class defence and a new midfilder we could have a top class team like this Myachi RVP The OX wilsher song areta Marcelo Koseincly vermalen sagna szseney
