Wilshere set for return against QPR
|Jack Wilshere is in line for a return to the Premier League this weekend as Arsenal face QPR at Emirates Stadium.
The 20-year-old has been stepping up his comeback from knee and ankle injuries of late, prompting England U21 coach Stuart Pearce to talk of his involvement in the 2013 European Championship.
Wilshere was included in Arsenal’s squad against Norwich last weekend but didn’t feature in the disappointing 1-0 defeat.
However, he’s expected to be involved in some capacity on Saturday with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger eager to give the midfield maestro more game time as he continues his return from long-term injury.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs are expected to face fitness tests ahead of Saturday’s game, while Theo Walcott remains doubtful following a chest injury sustained on international duty.
a rusty wilshere is better than some of the players out there tonight. we need him back
We will bounce back 4rm d disapointment display no matter what u people think?
Another disappointing outing by d gunners. It s obvious their was no bite in our attack. Arsenal were yet again out-play @ their backyrd. I thnk s hgh tym Wengr s fired. Else we wil remain trophyless in 10yrs 2 cme.
arsenal must buy skrike if the want to win a game
At least Wiltshire will play decent through balls have not seen anything to brag about are strike force is poor podzolski is isolated on the wing and he is a great finisher gervinio is so bad tonight he recieves so much always overruns it and his first touch is poor stop bloody taking it on and giving it away. Also is there anyone that can actually cross a ball it this squad.
Kudos 2 all gunaz fans world wide.We need a good sharp shooter, gervinho can’t do the job instead lets try podi. My happiness is that jack is back nd wish he will play com this weekend.
What do you feel is bigger issue arsenal end product over the years or the system they defend/ player being naïve in defending at times e.g by keep going forward leaving space, when they have been giving warnings that the team they are facing could score any minute( santos v Schalke)
