'Barcelona are not unbeatable', says Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes French giants Paris Saint-Germain can prey on Barcelona’s vulnerabilities in their Champions League quarter-final first leg tonight.

Ligue 1 leaders PSG host the current La Liga table toppers at Parc des Princes tonight in one of the most-anticipated European clashes.

Wenger has previous experience of winning against Barca following a 2-1 win a couple of seasons ago, with Wenger convinced that the Catalan side have lost their ‘spark’ in certain areas.

“Seeing as Celtic and AC Milan have managed to beat Barcelona, anything is possible for a team like Paris Saint-Germain,” wrote Wenger on his Eurosport blog.

“Barcelona are not invincible. It’s clear that Barca are the superior side technically, but they have lost a bit of spark recently.

“They [Barcelona] are now more vulnerable at the back and I believe that PSG have enough attacking potential to exploit this vulnerability which did not exist in previous seasons.”
