Júlio César closes in on move to Arsenal
Brazil goalkeeper Júlio César is edging closer to joining Arsenal, according to reports.
The QPR shot stopper has held talks with several Premier League clubs after being told he can leave Loftus Road following the Hoops’ relegation.
César, 33, has confirmed that he would prefer to stay in London and Arsenal are considered frontrunners for the Brazilian’s signature.
Various bookmakers, including Bwin.com, have suspended bets on César moving across West London to North, although he isn’t expected to complete his move until he returns from Confederations Cup duty with Brazil at the end of the month.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is determined to sign an experienced ‘keeper this summer as competition for the inconsistent Wojciech Szczesny.
Lukasz Fabianski and Vito Mannone’s likely departures from Emirates Stadium have forced Wenger to prioritise signing a goalkeeper. Other targets include Gonzalo Higuain and Marouane Fellaini.
Julio Cesar will definite be an asset to the squad with the experience he has between the sticks.
It will ensure Szcz be on his toes and prove more competitive for the future, his and Arsenal.
Hopefully the inclusion of Higuain, Wanyama, Grenier / Pogba Sakho, Sou and the likes who will take Arsenal into the realm of trophies next season!
I am getting fed-up of lengthy rumblings from by Wenger and Gazidis about “impending star signings at Arsenal”. I have not heard Man City saying they are “definately about to sign” big names – the “citizens” have simply acted – and so far signed Jesus Navas and Fernandino. It has been eight years of these irritating rants from Wenger (now joined by Gazidis). They should just sign Julio Ceasar, Gonzalo Higuian etc or simply shut the hell up. Enough is enough!!

I fully agree with Moses. We supporters don’t need to know the intended signings. All we need to see is world class players signed to make us title contenders. If funds are available as the CEO keeps mentioning, just splash the money for top players. We are running out of patience. We have been in trophy drought for too long. I hope it’s not the media that are making up these stories.

Men lets prove the truth and do what is wright. So lets wait till 1july so we can say any thing about the transfer. But pls arsene wenger should sale sagna and look for good right-back that will replace him and with no delay there are good right-back that are out of contract in premier league today. Another is wenger should not let any lad go this season and he (wengèr) should sign players like: A.Williams-£10m, Wanyama-£10m, J.Ceser-£5m,Higuain-£23m,Rangel-£7m and Capou-£12m. So that we can repeat the invisible again thanks. I’m still that faithful gunner!!

Wenger should simply shutup dirty words and acted please inform him that fan faithfull are tired of scouting for bigger clubs, he should rather act and now joined by gazidis which shows how undetermined those at the helms of affairs @ the emirates look, although the addition of the likes of julio czar ‘ll definitely add to the experience that has been missing within the sticks with little or no competition coming 4rm the other two top goalkeepers. And the likes of ilkay gundogan lars bender and gonzalo higuain are also welcome, as their addition ‘ll make the gunners challege for top honours.
Wenger should not let 2013/14 season pass Arsenal by in trophy quest. Cesar(GP), Williams(RB), Wayama/Fillani(DM) & Huigan/David Villa/Ba/Tores(Striker) are what we need to win trophies. Wenger, please act now.

All the talk about arsenal rumours are just that. Do not complain about all words and no action as rumours are not coming from arsenal but Internet idiots. Arsenal never announce who they are after they like all other clubs they announce after signings. Transfer window opens 30th June. So lets wait until after that before all these stupid comments.
Every year we are linked with players who never arrive! Wenger should do his transfers early doors! Dont be surprised if ceasar gets fed up with waiting and joins one of our rivals. Wengers excuse for not signing players is comical. He reckons he will only add players who are better than the ones we already have, so he hasnt signed anyone of note for years. Jesus christ!!! I visited the Emirates last week with my Mr Sheen and duster.
I gave Mr Wenger a stern finger wagging in the Diamond Club room and told him to sort out the defence……. ok, it was his bust…but at least it didn’t reply the same old ‘I didn’t see dat”
