Frankfurt set deadline for Bendtner decision
|Bundesliga side Frankfurt have confirmed that they are in advanced talks with Nicklas Bendtner and expect the Dane to make a decision on his future within the ‘next two days’.
The 25-year-old, who has been desperate to leave the Gunners for two seasons, was on the verge of joining the German team last week but his high wage demands slowed down negotiations.
However, Frankfurt have confirmed that they want the Danish international to make a decision on his future by Thursday at the very latest.
“Sports director Bruno Hübner is in close contact with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger”, read a statement on Frankfurt’s official website.
“The final decision regarding Nicklas Bendtner should be taken in the next two days.”
Former FC Copenhagen striker Bendtner hasn’t played for Arsenal since August 2011, having scored 43 goals in 157 appearances since joining the club as a youth-team player.
Bendtner should stop being greedy or lazy or both. He may not want to be paid less, yet he will certainly get more game time away from Arsenal. Its obvious that he is surplus to requirements at Arsenal and that he is not wanted. Why would you want to stay somewhere you are not wanted…for 3 years!? Money..yes but surely football is actually about playing the game rather than sitting on your backside? Be off with him!
