Arsenal youngster Kris Olsson has sung the praises of team-mate Tomas Rosicky and believes the Czech midfielder is the club’s best player in training sessions.
18-year-old Olsson is currently on Arsenal’s Asia 2013 pre-season tour alongside Rosicky after impressing last season in the NextGen tournament and U21 Premier League.
Olsson, who is an attacking midfielder himself, admires the former Borussia Dortmund star for his commitment in training sessions where he regularly gives advice to the Gunners’ younger players.
“It’s really cool to be a part of the first teams training sessions and experience the quality and tempo there”, said Olsson.
“And the best one of them all is probably Rosicky. He’s always the best during spring. It was the same last year.
“Very few midfielders are better than him. He’s a really nice guy who likes to stay behind after practice to give us younger players some good advice and tips”.
Rosicky is no stranger to receiving praise from Arsenal’s young players. Following Thomas Eisfeld’s goal against Indonesia XI on Sunday, the German revealed his delight after Rosicky subsequently celebrated with him.
Despite being plagued with injuries during his six-year stay in north London, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is an admirer of hard-working Rosicky who will hope to showcase his talents in full during the new season.
