Trabzonspor want Nicklas Bendtner on loan
|Turkish club Trabzonspor are hoping to sign Nicklas Bendtner on a season long loan, according to reports.
Bendtner, 26, hasn’t played for Arsenal since 2011 and has turned down moves to three European sides despite being told he has no future at the Gunners.
Arsenal have already told Bendtner that he has no future in north London and will continue to be forced to train away from the rest of the squad if he fails to agree terms with another club before transfer deadline day next month.
Trabzonspor, who have already signed former Chelsea players Florent Malouda and Jose Boswinga this summer, are willing to pay a 1m euro (£850,000) fee to sign Bendtner on a season long loan.
The Danish international was in talks with Frankfurt, Malaga and FC Twente – all of which broke down due to the striker’s excessive £52,000-a-week wage demands.
Former FC Copenhagen striker Bendtner joined Arsenal in 2005 but has never managed to hold down a regular place in Arsene Wenger’s side due to inconsistent performances and off-the-field issues.
