Wojciech Szczesny’s agent has refused to comment on speculation that the Arsenal goalkeeper has rejected the offer of a new contract.
The Gunners no.1 shot stopper, who has six clean sheets to nis name this season, has been in impressive form of late and is out of contract next summer.
Reports in Szczesny’s native Poland claim that the 23-year-old wants be in the same wage bracket as other Premier League ‘keepers such as Manchester City’s Joe Hart.
However, Szczesny’s agent refused to comment on speculation suggesting that his client rejected Arsenal’s latest contract offer.
“At the moment I have nothing to say on the matter”, said David Manasseh.
Szczesny has been at Arsenal since 2006 and according to his representative is focused on ‘winning trophies’ and having a ‘successful season’ with the north London giants.
French tactician Arsene Wenger remains keen on tying the Pole down to a new long-term deal which would see him become one of the highest earning goalkeepers in England.
