Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski has been keeping himself busy while out injured – recently spending €140,000 (£118,000) on at former club Koln’s Rhein Energy Stadion.
The 28-year-old, who is currently on the sidelines recovering from a hamstring tear, visited his old team during the recent international break and finalised plans for the purchase of a 24-seater box.
German international Podolski already has Koln’s club emblem tattooed on the inside of his right arm and previously admitted that he could be tempted to get Arsenal’s cannon inked on his skin if things continue to go well.
Podolski’s new ‘lodge’ will be 72 square feet large and available to rent, with all proceeds going straight to Die Geißböcke.
“The interest will be huge. Lukas Podolski is the absolute sympathetic figure with a full commitment to FC Cologne”, said CEO Hans Ruttenenstrasse.
“You will be able to rent the lodge to watch the matches of Arsenal in the Premier League there or to play an original Playstation of Lukas Podolski’s.”
