Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been mocked on a billboard poster outside Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium – less than 24 hours before the Reds face Arsene Wenger’s side.
The Gunners will come up against Suarez for the first time tomorrow afternoon since tabling a much talked about £40m plus a pound bid in the summer.
Bookmaking firm Paddy Power, as part of their ‘Ball Of Shame’ ad campaign, mocked Suarez’ infamous antics from last season where he appeared to bite Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic
Ahead of tomorrow’s game, French tactician Wenger has refused to confirm whether he’ll make a fresh approach for the controversial 26-year-old frontman in January.
“I am not focused on that now, 24 hours before this game,” said Wenger.
“Look, he plays for Liverpool and at the moment he is doing very well. What is important for me is players who play for Arsenal and not those who could play for Arsenal.”
Gooners will be hoping that Suarez’s aforementioned traits don’t prevail when the away side host Brendan Rodgers’ in-form men at the Emirates tomorrow afternoon.
Injury news: Mikel Arteta will return from suspension for tomorrow’s game, although Serge Gnabry hasn’t recovered in time for the tea-time crunch clash.
Long-term absentees Lukas Podolski, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Abou Diaby remain sidelined.
