Ramsey: "We're not going to take Hull lightly in the final"

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is adamant that there will be no signs of complacency against Hull City in next month’s FA Cup final – despite completing the league double over Steve Bruce’s side this season.

The Welsh international played an integral part in Arsenal’s 3-0 win at the KC Stadium earlier today and capped off a fine performance with the opening goal.

Ramsey helped his side move four points clear of fifth-placed Everton in the Premier League ahead of the Toffees’ clash with Manchester United at Goodison Park.

“We’ve beaten them twice this year but we’re not going to take them lightly in the final”, insisted Ramsey.

“They’re a well-organised team and are quite dangerous when they get the ball wide and get crosses in.

“We can’t rely on our previous performances against them and we’ll expect another tough challenge in the final.”

23-year-old Ramsey has amassed 9 goals and 8 assists in 21 league appearances this season despite being plagued with injuries throughout the campaign.

The Man of the Match, who was making his first league start since Christmas after struggling with a thigh injury, admitted that he is delighted to be back in action.

“Obviously it was a very difficult time for me to be on the sidelines for three months watching on after what went on earlier in the season,” he continued.

“It was a frustrating time but I’m just delighted to be back now. Hopefully I can put some good performances in for the end of the season.”
