Wojciech Szczesny responds to Carragher comments with trophy photo

Szczesny

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has responded to Jamie Carragher’s claims that the Gunners’ need a better shot stopper – by posting a photo of his Golden Glove award from last season.

Szczesny’s side are regarded by many as one of the clubs that will be challenging for the title, and their recent 3-0 win over Manchester City in the Community Shield only heightened expectations.

Gunners boss Arsène Wenger has brought in the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy as he looks to build on last season’s fourth-place finish.

But former Liverpool defender Carragher feels that the north London club are still missing top quality in key positions and he believes that Szczesny, who kept the most Premier League clean sheets alongside Petr Cech last season, isn’t good enough for the north Londoners.

“Why has Arsène Wenger not done what José Mourinho has done? Why has he not bought a top goalkeeper?”, said Carragher.

“I wish Wenger would go out and buy a big goalkeeper, a strong centre-back, a big midfielder and a decent striker and go for it.”

Polish international Szczesny subtly hit back at Carragher’s comments earlier today by posting a photo of his 2013/14 Premier League Golden Glove award which he shared with Chelsea ‘keeper Cech.

Nice work, Wojciech!

Why can’t he just shut up his mouth, afterall he is an average player during his time with liverFool. Plus who said Courtois is an upgrade over Cech? Finger crossed!

He actually had more clean sheets than Cech during the season, with only the big losses against city, chelsea and liverpool that stopped him picking up the award to himself. So, he doesn’t need to respond to old “DONKEY’s” remarks, as he was far and above the best keeper in the league last year, way better than the scousers keeper….does that mean liverpools keeper was absolutely useless then?

Szczseny is a good solid keeper, who is only gonna get better. Plus we probably have one of the best second choice keepers going in Ospina. I like Carragher but he has a habit of making daft comments.

The problem is that, Liverpool FC is full of old men and the more they tried to think straight, the more they get confused. I honestly blame Suarez that gave them these guts to talk lately.

Carragher is such a daft. At Schezny’s age, he was no where as a footballer. Issues concerning Arsenal always make him stupid and unreasonable. Mourinho brought Fabregas who was not needed by Wenger, Luiz to replace Cole, Wenger brought Debuchy for Sagna. Mourinho brought Costa and Wenger brought Sanchez. Mourinho brought back a keeper from loan and Wenger brought Ospina and even added Chambers. Carragher should shut up. He was not a fantastic player and is not even a sound critic.
