Meet Arsenal’s 6ft 4in goalkeeper who is ALMOST as tall as Per Mertesacker
|Arsenal’s latest teenage prospect making waves for the under 18 set-up is academy goalkeeper Ryan Huddart – and he’s catching up with defender Per Mertesacker for the accolade of tallest player in the squad!
Huddart, who joined Arsenal three years ago from Charlton Athletic for £250,000, is highly-regarded within at Emirates Stadium, with the teenager tipped for a bright future at the club.
The 6ft 4in shot-stopper signed a pro-deal with Arsenal in March and has been a regular in the Under 21s side this season.
17-year-old Huddart, whose progress has not gone unnoticed by manager Arsene Wenger, recently posted a photo on Instagram which emphasised how large his frame actually is and judging by his age there’s still plenty more time for him to grow!
