French side Lorient are hoping that their good relationship with Arsenal will help them secure a loan deal for Yaya Sanogo.
The France Under-21 forward, who has been made available for a loan move in January, is expected to be shipped out to another Premier League club until the season ends, but clubs across Europe including Lorient have continued to show interest in the 21-year-old.
According to reports in France, the Ligue 1 side are hoping that their good relations with Arsenal, which have seen them take Joel Campbell, Francis Coquelin and Gilles Sunu on loan in recent years, will put them in the front-running to land Sanogo.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly reluctant to agree with the French outfit, as he ideally wants Sanogo to remain in England for his loan move.
