Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has issued a rallying cry to his team-mates ahead of the crucial Premier League title clash against Leicester on Sunday.
The Gunners shot stopper, who joined from reigning champions Chelsea in the summer, has emerged as one of the club’s biggest leaders and remains determined to win his fifth league title in England.
Gooner Talk understands that Cech has been taking his team-mates aside in recent weeks to urge the squad to keep pushing for their first league title in over a decade.
Cech kept 162 Premier League clean sheets over 11 seasons at Stamford Bridge and is arguably the first name on Arsene Wenger’s teamsheet.
“Petr is a special guy”, former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson recently told reporters.
“D’you know what he did after the Southampton defeat on Boxing Day? He went into the away end, gave his gloves to one of the fans and said sorry to them.”
