‘Shame on Gazidis. Zero respect for history, tradition of English football’
|Arsenal fans have reacted to the news that club CEO Ivan Gazidis reportedly held secret talks on Tuesday about the formation of a European super league.
High profile figures from Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool were also present to meet with American billionaire Stephen Ross at London’s Dorchester Hotel, report The Sun.
The proposal would see Europe’s top clubs form their own league, although Manchester United and Arsenal have since said they are opposed to any breakaway from the Champions League or the Barclays Premier League.
Supporters on social media were furious at Gazidis for attending a meeting with Premier League rivals just days after the club’s second consecutive defeat in four days to Manchester United.
Ivan Gazidis should concentrate on Arsenal beating Man Utd on the pitch not colluding with them on some greedy money making breakaway.

Ivan Gazidis has always stressed the competitiveness of the PL & its (internal) wealth distribution, as reasons behind its success.
