Debuchy ‘makes decision’ on Arsenal future
|Arsenal right back Mathieu Debuchy is set to leave the club this summer, after the player is believed to have ‘lost confidence’ in Arsene Wenger.
According to French news outlet L’Equipe, the 30-year-old wide man is unsure of how many games he will get to start in the next season due to the younger age and fine form of rival Hector Bellerin.
The Spaniard came into the first-team during an injury that kept Debuchy out of the Arsenal team almost two years ago and has since not been budged out of the side.
Bellerin’s consistency led to Debuchy making a last minute Deadline Day move to in January to FC Bordeaux in order to push for a place in France’s squad at Euro 2016 but having picked up an injury and failing to light up Ligue 1, was unable to make the squad – with ex-Gunner Bacary Sagna likely to start for Les Blues.
