Arsenal dealt a blow as agent reveals Mkhitaryan’s transfer wish

Arsenal have been dealt a blow as Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s agent has revealed that the Armenian international wants to join Manchester United next season, as per the Mirror Online.

The Borussia Dortmund midfielder is believed to have rejected a contract extension at the Bundesliga side and with his contract running out in just one-year, looks likely to leave the club this summer.

With the likes of Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan already having left the club, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as well as Mkhitaryan could also depart meaning Dortmund face a possible exodus similar to that of Southampton’s a couple of seasons ago.

Speaking on his client’s future, agent Mino Raiola claimed that the 27-year-old wants a move to Manchester United.

“Manchester United is a unique opportunity, Micki wants to go there.”

Mkhitaryan will have the opportunity to work under Jose Mourinho should he join the club, although with a number of club’s interesting in signing him could be tempted into a move elsewhere.
