Wenger discusses rumoured Arsenal move for £45m Lacazette

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has refused to comment on links with Lyon cente forward Alexandre Lacazette.
With Jamie Vardy having rejected a possible move to Arsenal and instead signing a new long-term deal at Leicester City, the Gunners boss has had to look elsewhere for a striker and could take the plunge of Lacazette – who is valued at around £45m by his club.
The Frenchman appeared on French TV station Canal + Sport and was asked about whether he would be interested in making a possible move for the 25-year-old, but Wenger was coy in his response and left the situation open to suggestion a transfer could happen this summer.

The north London side have, however, been linked with a move to a number of other players including Gonzalo Higuain and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with the former’s agent fuelling speculation of a move after confirming he would not sign a new contract at current club Napoli.
