Arsenal table stunning £43m bid for long-term target
|Arsenal have submitted a huge £43m bid for Wolfsburg winger Julian Draxler, as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
The north London side have made just one senior signing this summer in Granit Xhaka, as well as confirming moves for youth duo Takuma Asano and Kelechi Nwakali – all three of whom have spent the summer on international duty.
However, with the likes of Manchester United, City and Chelsea all strengthening their respective squads as they bid to make a bid for Premier League glory, Arsene Wenger has also joined in and submitted what would be a record transfer fee of £43m for Draxler – according to ESPN (via 101 Great Goals).

The 22-year-old has been a target of Arsenal’s for the long-term and although he only recently joined Wolfsburg from Schalke, could be set for another move amid reports that he is interested in joining a more competitive team – with Arsenal fitting the bill.
Draxler has had an impressive campaign for Germany and has the opportunity to add the European Championships onto his 2014 World Cup glory.
