Arsene Wenger invites Napoli president to England ahead of Higuain talks
|Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has formally invited Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis to England ahead of talks regarding a transfer for centre forward Gonzalo Higuain.
News broke in recent hours regarding the north London side’s offer for the Argentine international – which is believed to be at least €60m, although no bid has yet to be formally submitted.
Italian football pundit Ciro Venerato, speaking to Radio CRC – as reported by Football Italia, claims that Wenger has invited the Napoli president along with sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli to London where they will discuss a deal that sees Higuain join the English side.

It’s believed that the 28-year-old would favour a move to north London despite interest from another of other sides, giving the Gunners a slight edge in the transfer battle.
West Ham United are also interested in Higuain and are willing to pay a similar figure, meaning the Gunners will face stiff competition in trying to complete what would be a club and Premier League record fee.
