Bellerin ‘considering move’ to join Guardiola’s City revolution
|Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is believed to be interested in joining Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City this summer.
According to Barcelona-based Mundo Deportivo, the defender previously had no interest in joining the Citizens until the announcement of Guardiola’s arrival, which has got him thinking about what life at the north West club may be like.
The talented Spaniard has a number of years left on his contract, meaning Arsene Wenger would not have to sell him in any case scenario.
Bellerin is valued at around €51m, a fairly whopping number considering he is a full-back and with Bacary Sagna on the wrong side of 30 and Pablo Zabaleta expected to leave the club this summer, Guardiola may be interested in acquiring his compatriot – who would certainly provide a long-term option.
As usual, it seems difficult that this is a move that would be believable considering the circumstances, Bellerin has, on a number of occasions, admitted he is happy at Arsenal and even when Barcelona expressed their interest in signing him, didn’t bat an eyelid.
It seems the only thing that could tempt the 21-year-old into a move away from north London would be if City offer him wages that he can’t turn down, although they’ll have to agree a fee with Wenger first, which really does not seem likely.
Wenger’s all about the money. He’d sell him in a heart-beat. It’ll be another gooner off to city. It’s becoming a complete joke. City don’t bother other teams but know we’re a ‘selling club’, so come and pick and choose who they want.
Bellerin’s departure would be a disappointment because of his development potential, but there are a number of right fullbacks both in the Premier League and in Europe who have proven themselves to be more accomplished defenders and in their attacking contributions who Arsenal could realistically purchase should he depart. Soares of Southampton, Pied of Nice, Fabinho of Monaco and Aurier of PSG are just a few.

Pl ask MC to purchase one of them
Doubt it, but we will see what sort of a player he is if the speculation is true, if he wants to develop as a footballer he will stay at arsenal, however if money is his main object he’ll go to city. It not like City are guaranteed titles, they finished 4th last year when people said it would be out of them and chelsea for the title. Players go to city for the money end of, glory is just a bonus. Its not like these players there had boyhood dreams of playing for city as they’re such a big club, they just have big purse strings to lure players away from clubs and outbid anyone else even if they haven’t fully developed as a player. Sterling is a prime example if this
