Official: Valencia set Mustafi price tag and inform agent he can leave, Arsenal heavily interested
|Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi has been made available for transfer by the club, it has been revealed.
The German international has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks and after it was confirmed by Arsene Wenger that Per Mertesacker would miss a number of months through injury, he then revealed that the north London side would be on the hunt for a new and experienced central defender.
With Valencia in need of cash to be able to meet financial fair play regulations, they have, according to Deportes COPE Valencia, made Mustafi available for just €25m – half of the price that his release clause has been set at.

Arsenal could swoop in to sign the talented defender, who would likely be unavailable at the beginning of the season after a long campaign at the European Championships with Germany.
The only competition that Arsenal have standing in their way is AC Milan but it’s believed that Mustafi is willing and interested in making the move to north London – with the offer of UEFA Champions League football setting them apart.
It would be a great signing!
With Xhaka, there will be two strong albanians in Arsenal!
I hope Wenger signs him!
