Arsenal defender Rob Holding has claimed that he will look to Calum Chambers for help settling in, after he joined the club last week.
The north London side confirmed the deal for Holding last week after months of speculation linking the 20-year-old with a move from Bolton Wanderers, eventually signing for a fee believed to be in the region of £2m.
Being just 20-years of age and on the back of a difficult season at the Reebok Stadium, Holding comes to the Emirates with little experience – similar to that of Chambers when he first joined Arsenal.
The England under-21s star had just one full season at Southampton before being tapped up by the Gunners for around £12m but has settled in quickly and is likely to have a breakthrough season after his performances towards the end of last season landed him plenty of praise.
Speaking to Arsenal Player, Holding revealed that he has already established a relationship with his new teammate.
“He came over [when I signed] and asked me how my summer holiday was.
“It makes it much easier settling in, knowing someone like that who is young like me and knows the feeling of moving away from home and getting settled at Arsenal. Hopefully he can help me out.”
