Arsenal’s win against Chelsea was arguably one of the most conclusive and dominant performances from the club for a long while. Although Chelsea were poor on the day, Arsenal showed too much cutting edge and aggressive pressing for the West London club.
In midfield especially Arsenal dominated. One of the best players in the League last year, N’Golo Kante was hounded at every moment and couldn’t contain Arsenal’s attacks; there was one such player who was heavily to blame for this, Francis Coquelin.
After receiving a lot of criticism so far this season, Coquelin was having a great game in the early stages of the match. After a clash with Kante, however, Coquelin was forced to come off with an apparent knee injury.
Now James Olley of the Evening Standard, reports that Coquelin could be out for two months. Although Arsenal are still waiting for further scans to come back on Coquelin, the Frenchman left the stadium in a knee brace, while Arsene Wenger termed the injury as a ‘bad’ one.
