Tottenham star praises Wenger and Arsenal

While England have appointed Greth Southgate as the interim coach for the time being, much has been spoken about Arsene Wenger taking the role. The Frenchman was considered for the role in the summer and again has been linked with the role, with FA Chief, Martin Glenn describing Wenger as ‘perfect’ for the role.
Wenger has said that the role should go to an Englishman but has not completely ruled out the role. With this in mind, Tottenham fullback, Danny Rose has praised what Wenger has done and would welcome the Frenchman as the new England international, as per the Evening Standard.
‘I’d welcome whoever is being linked with the job. What he’s done for Arsenal over the last 20 years has been brilliant, the football that Arsenal play is breathtaking to watch at times. If he was to ever become manager of England that could certainly do wonders for the country. It’s about having the best man for the job.’
Although this may hurt many Tottenham fans, Rose might just be right. If Wenger does indeed leave Arsenal next summer – which seems unlikely – there aren’t many better candidates for the England role.
