Wolfsburg star to spark bidding war next summer
According to his agent, Wolfsburg star, Julian Draxler will be playing at one of the top clubs in Europe next summer, with Arsenal and Juventus heavily interested. As reported by the Mirror via Tuttosport, Draxler’s agent, Fabio Parisi was quoted in an interview confirming that his player will leave the club next summer.
‘He will definitely leave Wolfsburg at the end of the season. He would’ve gladly run to join Juve and is the ideal trequartista for Allegri. I repeat: Draxler will leave, but whether or not Juventus are interested again is another matter. I think the Bianconeri can still spend big money, as their revenue is close to that of the top European clubs.’
The German midfielder had been very close to a move to Juventus in the summer of 2015 but the Turin side pulled out of the move and instead joined Wolfsburg for €36 million. Arsenal were linked with a move for the German following an impressive campaign at the Euros but were put off by his large buy-out clause.
It seems as though Arsenal could be stuck in a three-way battle with PSG and Juventus for the talented midfielder.
