Arsenal are now joint of the League after a scrappy 3-2 win over Swansea. The performance wasn’t great, however, and one player who has come for some criticism from some fans, is ‘keeper, Petr Cech.

At 34-years-old Cech is coming to the end of his career and according to L’Equipe, (h/t the Mirror) Arsenal are already tracking his long-term replacement, Toulouse goalkeeper, Alban Lafont. The Toulouse goalkeeper broke into the first-team last season and became the youngest goalie to ever play in Ligue 1, at the age of 16 and 310 days. Since then Lafont has cemented his place in the first-team and was given a new contract with the club that will run until 2020.

Arsenal will face stiff competition for the French prodigy, though, as Juventus and Porto are interested in signing him. It would be smart for Arsenal to sign an understudy for Cech, although Lafont may not be keen on sitting on the sidelines for a few years before Cech retires.
