Daniel Crowley: This is the hardest I’ve ever worked
|Daniel Crowley – who is currently on loan at Oxford – was once considered one of the best talents at the Arsenal academy. Moreover, he was regarded as one of the best English prospects when he joined Arsenal from Aston Villa in 2014, has somewhat lost his way over the last few seasons. This year, however, Crowley has revealed that he’s being made to work harder than ever at Oxford united, as reported by the Mirror.
‘The Gaffer had me in his plans all the time but just not straight away for certain reasons, so he has made me work for it, which I’ve never really had to do, so that has been good for me. Now it means more to me so I’ll do anything to keep myself in the team.’
‘I’ve never had to work as hard as I have at Oxford. At [Aston] Villa as a kid I was always in the team, same at Arsenal. I was around quality players at Arsenal but was always going to play. I still have that belief in myself but coming here has helped me realise that no matter how much ability you might have you still have to work for it.’
After a somewhat slow start at Oxford, Crowley has found his feet and scored two goals in his last three games. If he can prove himself this season, he may still have a bright future at Arsenal.
