After months of negotiations, Hector Bellerin has finally signed a new deal with Arsenal, according to John Cross of the Mirror. The Spanish international has been subjected to heavy interest from Manchester City – who tried to sign him last summer – and his hometown club, Barcelona over the last year. According to the Mirror, however, he has signed a new six-year deal worth £30 million.
Bellerin has become one of Wenger’s most vital players in the squad as now set to earn around £100,000-a-week with this new deal. This will come as a huge boost to Arsenal fans, who have realised Bellerin’s importance to the squad and will hope that fellow stars Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will now sign new extensions with the club. Ozil is waiting for Wenger to sign a new deal while it is reported that Sanchez has held talks but wants a release clause inserted in his new deal. Wenger’s own deal expires next summer while Arsenal are also in negotiations with Santi Cazorla and Alex Iwobi.
