Arsenal have reportedly joined the race for Swedish prospect Alexander Isak, according to The Sun. The 17-year-old forward, who currently plays for AIK has already been dubbed ‘the next Zlatam Ibrahimovic’ and is one of the stars currently playing in Sweden’s top flight with an impressive 11 goals in 25 appearances.

Some of Europe’s top clubs have already made enquiries into his transfer, including the likes of Juventus, PSG and Bayern Munich – Premier League sides Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have also shown their interests. Isak has the ability to play on the wings and up front as a lone striker which has also drawn comparisons with Borussia Dortmund striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang.

Arsene Wenger is known for his ability to locate and bring through some of the best young talent around the world, so its no surprise that Arsenal are linked with Alexander Isak, but they might be facing stiff competition if they are really in for his signature. The hype around Isak seems to be mounting as the winter transfer window approaches, as he is rated one of the hottest prospects in Europe.
