Arsenal midfielder, Santi Cazorla has been out since Arsenal’s 6-0 victory over Ludogorets in mid-October with an achilles injury, the same injury that saw him miss time in the second-half of last season.

Arsenal have desperately missed the diminutive Spaniard since he picked up his injury, thus Arsene Wenger has sent Cazorla to receive specialist treatment in an attempt to help him recover, according to the Daily Mail

Initially, it was thought that the 31-year-old would return in time for the North London derby two weeks ago but was ruled out after he suffered a setback in his recovery. Spanish doctor, Ramon Cugat – a specialist favoured by Pep Guardiola – will be tasked with helping Cazorla in recovering from his injury. Cugat has treated a number of footballers including Xavi, Iniesta and Puyol.

Cazorla has been given an injection by the Spanish doctor but is still unable to train with the first-team. With two hugely disappointing draws against Tottenham and Manchester united respectively, Wenger will be hoping to have Cazorla back for the busy Christmas period.
