Santi Cazorla set for 3 months out

Arsenal v Southampton - Premier League

Santi Cazorla suffered a recurrence of his achilles problem after Arsenal’s 6-0 win over Ludogorets and has been out ever since. Reports emerged today, that Santi Cazorla now has been advised by specialists to undergo surgery to finally put an end to his ongoing achilles injury that has kept him out for a part of last season and reemerged when Arsenal faced Ludogorets at home in October.

The news was confirmed by Arsenal.com that Santi Cazorla was set to travel to Sweden to undergo surgery early next week to get rid of his inflammation in his right achilles. The Spanish maestro – who turns 32 in a few days and is out of contract in the summer – is set to spend three months on the sidelines following the surgery.

Arsenal have badly missed the Spaniard, who’s creativity at the base of Arsenal’s midfield is unrivalled by anyone in the squad. Let’s hope this surgery finally puts an end to his injury struggles.
