According to multiple reports, Oxford United are set to end Daniel Crowley’s season long loan deal, six months early. Crowley had joined Oxford United on loan in the summer and was expected to spend the whole season there. Following reports that the youngster had fallen out with head coach, however, Michael Appleton, it seems that his behaviour off the pitch has effectively ended his time with the club.

Indeed, Appleton recently spoke about why Crowley had been left out of the squad for the last three games.

‘I’m certainly not going to lose sleep if Arsenal have got an issue with Oxford United going forward.’

‘The one thing we are, and will always be, is very professional. Nothing and nobody will ever get in the way of what we’re trying to do from a team culture and ethos point of view.’

Crowley, who is yet to make a senior appearance for the Gunners, had played 11 times for Oxford, scoring three goals and was doing well until recently. He will now head back to Arsenal much like he did last year, after having had a loan spell with Barnsley.
