One regarded as the ‘Next Vieira’, Ajax youngster, Riechedly Bazoer has fallen down the pecking order this season following the appointment of new boss Peter Bosz last summer. Bazoer had attracted interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City following his debut with the first-team two seasons ago.
This season, however, the 20-year-old midfielder has seen little game time, featuring only five times in the League this year, furthermore, Bazoer has been left out of Ajax’s squad for their game against Standard Liege. Due to this, Ajax are now likely to sell the midfielder in January, as recently confirmed by Peter Bosz.
‘After talks with Riechedly I assume there is a big chance that he is not with this team anymore after the winter break. Against Standard I want to play young players so they can get used to this international level.’
