Wolfsburg star looks set to leave after fall out with the club

Arsenal have long been linked with a move for German international and Wolfsburg winger, Julian Draxler. Last season, Draxler had somewhat of a career rejuvenation at Wolfsburg after losing his place at Schalke 04.

Last summer, Draxler had made it clear that he wanted to move away from the club but had any potential move blocked by Wolfsburg. Since the summer, Draxler has continued to reference his dismay at not leaving the club, which has now culminated in the player being dropped from Wolfsburg’s squad to play against Bayern Munich this weekend. 

His professionalism has been heavily criticised, with even the clubs supporters booing him off in their game against Hertha Berlin last weekend. It is understood that Wolfsburg will accept a bid of £30 million for the player, with Arsenal heavily linked with a move for him in January.
