Transfer News: Draxler torn between Arsenal or PSG

It’s been made quite clear that Julian Draxler has played his last game for club Wolfsburg and is edging closer to a move to either Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain or Arsenal, according to the DMirror.

It had been reported that Draxler was on the verge of a move to PSG but The Mirror reports that Draxler is still undecided about which club to choose. The 23-year-old moved to The Volkswagen Arena just 18 months ago when he left hometown club Schalke for just £25.5 million. Arsenal had been linked with Draxler during his time at Schalke and following a solid first season with Wolfsburg, he was once again linked with a move to the north London club. 

Although PSG seem to be leading the chase for Arsenal’s long-term target, a member of the player’s representatives spoke to the Paris-based newspaper, Le Parisien and confirmed the player was choosing between PSG and Arsenal, contrary to reports the German had already chosen PSG.

‘Nothing is done, Julian is hesitating between PSG and Arsenal. For the moment, he is thinking. A decision will be made in the coming days. One thing is certain, he has played his last match for Wolfsburg.’ 

It is thought Wolfsburg want £34 million for Draxler, however, are willing to negotiate for the player. Arsenal have been long time admirers of the youngster and a deal could be reached that sees the player ply his trade in the Premier League.
