Arsenal winger cleared to play in New Year’s Day clash

Arsenal are confident that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be available for their New Year’s Day game against Crystal Palace, according to the Evening Standard

After a somewhat inconsistent start to the season, Oxlade-Chamberlain was beginning to show signs of a return to form but unfortunately he suffered a hamstring injury against Manchester City last Sunday.

The English winger will miss Arsenal’s Boxing Day clash against West Brom, however, a game the Gunners desperately need to win. Following back-to-back defeats to Everton and Manchester City respectively, Arsenal dropped down fourth. Arsenal are now nine points behind League leaders Chelsea and are witnessing their title challenge fall apart.

The West Brom game will be a tough and crucial match, let’s hope Arsenal can return to winning ways.
