Torino confirm Arsenal bid for star striker

Torino have confirmed that Arsenal have placed an offer for star man, Andre Belotti but insist that the player is more valuable than the reported €65 million bid, according to Squawka

Belotti has been in superb form for Torin this season, scoring 13 goals in 16 League games. The striker’s form has seen him attract attention from multiple clubs and consequently, Torino recently tied the striker down to a long-term deal with a reported €100 million release clause included.

Reports earlier in the week had suggested that Torino had set a £50 million price tag on their prized asset which Arsenal have apparently exceeded with their bid. Indeed, Torino’s director of sport, Gianluca Petrachi, confirmed to Sky Italia that they had received the bid but insisted Belotti was worth more than what was offered.

“Yes, we received the offer, but it does not reflect the value of the player.”

“Anyway, he is going nowhere for now. We want to enjoy him, then we’ll see what happens.

“We intend to keep Belotti and President Urbano Cairo signed this important buy-out clause. I think he’s worth more than they have offered.”
