It seems as if you just can’t keep Alexis Sanchez’s name out of the headlines at the moment, as speculation surrounding his future at the club continues to circulate. Sanchez’s current contract at the Emirates expires at the end of next season, though there is a fair amount of uncertainty around the club as to whether or not Arsenal’s star man will commit for longer. Due to this rumours have emerged that both PSG and Atletico Madrid will target the Chilean in the summer, according to reports.
Paris Saint-Germain have always been said to have been keeping tabs on Sanchez’s situation at the Emirates. But it’s now been reported that Atletico Madrid have joined the race to try and prize away Arsenal’s main asset from North London. French website maxifoot.fr first suggested that PSG were lining up a £60 million bid for Sanchez in the summer but now reports coming out from the Spanish publication, Don Balon, claim that Atletico Madrid are seriously interested in the Chilean, as a potential replacement for Antoine Griezmann, if the Frenchman leaves in the summer.
Don Balon also go on to indicate that Sanchez would fancy a return to Spain and La Liga, with the possibility of working alongside Diego Simeone a massive attraction. Atletico seem to be very keen on Sanchez even if Griezmann does not leave, with the idea of the partnering the two up front, striking potentially, one of the most lethal attacks in European football.
