Arsenal to bid £3.4 million for German frontman

Arsenal are set to battle it out with Tottenham over Freiburg forward, Maximillian Philipp, according to SportBild. 

Arsenal and Tottenham are reported preparing January bids for the Freiburg forward, who is capable of playing across the front three positions.

The 22-year-old has scored five times in 13 appearances this season, following on from a successful promotion campaign with Freiburg last season. Phillipp has seemingly adapted to the Bundesliga very well and is quoted to be valued at as little as £3.4 million, moreover he has not release clause in his contract. 

Due to his versatility, Phillip could well be a very savvy buy for Arsenal this month, especially due to the low asking price.
