Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Italian striker, Andre Belotti this month. It has even been reported that the club had bid £56 million for the Torino striker, which was subsequently rejected but Arsene Wenger has denied these rumours, branding them “fake news”.
Torino’s Sporting Director, Gianluca Petrachi had suggested that the club had rejected a €65 million bid for the player, while Belotti’s agent had also come out to say that a deal will only happen if the €100 million release clause is activated.
In reference to Donal Trump, Arsene Wenger gave a quick response to the rumour.
“That’s what today you call fake news.”
