Arsene Wenger reveals Arsenal star’s injury is worse than first feared
|Santi Cazorla is set to spend another ten weeks on the sidelines, Arsene Wenger has revealed.
The Spanish wizard hasn’t featured for Arsenal for a little over two months, having picked up an injury in a 6-0 win against Ludogorets. The 32-year old was expected to return around February following a successful operation, but further assessment has revealed he may be out for a much, much longe period of time.
“He’s far from starting to run again. He had a little procedure, yes, but we have a meeting with the medical people to see what it was.”
“Yeah, I hope so [that he’ll be available for the run-in]. Because once you start to go out [running outside] you have to count six weeks’ preparation. At the moment he’s not at that level, so let’s hope he can come back in the next three or four weeks on the pitch.”
