“I feel very comfortable in London” – Mesut Ozil speaks amid contract speculation

With only 18 months left on his current deal, Arsenal fans would be forgiven for thinking that they could lose one of their star players but Ozil has insisted that he is very comfortable in London he told the German FA website (h/t Goal.com).

The World Cup winner was speaking after having been named the fans ‘German Player of the Year’ for the fifth time in his career. Ozil, like Sanchez, is out of contract at the end of next season, although he has indicated that he will only sign if and when Wenger’s future is decided.

Ther German international joined Arsenal in 2013 and spoke about how comfortable he feels in London while his game and role has also changed over time.

“I’ve simply arrived in the Premier League since last season. I’ve remained injury-free for the most part and I feel very comfortable in London now as well.”

“As one of the more experienced players in the team, I try to pass on advice to the younger players. Even if I’m not the most vocal player on the pitch, my voice is heard in the team. And I try to help our younger players every day.”

“I’ve changed a few things in my life this past year, for example my diet and my training. That helps me to regenerate fast after games and it reduces the chance of getting injured.”
