Great news for fans as trio return from injury ahead of Burnley clash

Arsene Wenger has been given a major boost ahead of this weekend’s game at home to Burnley in the Premier League. Hector Bellerin, Francis Coquelin and Kieran Gibbs are all set to return for Arsenal after the trio all returned to first team training in the last few days.

Coquelin is by far the biggest surprise of the lot, after picking up a hamstring injury early on in Arsenal’s 3-3 draw at Bournemouth a couple of weeks ago, it was feared that he would be out for around a month. The Frenchman, however,  has returned quicker than first expected, to give the Gunners much needed depth in that midfield area.

Hector Bellerin is another welcome return for Arsene Wenger’s side. The Spaniard has missed the Gunners past two games as he recovered from an ankle injury. It’s not certain whether or not Wenger will start Bellerin from the off on Sunday, with Gabriel doing a more than satisfying job whilst covering for the right-back.

Gibbs is also set to return to the squad following a three week lay off from an ankle injury, which he picked up against West Brom back on Boxing Day.

Wenger confirmed before the Swansea game last week that Arsenal will still be without Theo Walcott for this weekend’s game at the Emirates, as the striker continues to recover from a calf injury which has kept him out since Christmas.Wenger will also wait to see whether or not Olivier Giroud will play a part on Sunday afternoon, as the club continue to assess a toe injury suffered in the win away at Swansea last Saturday.
