Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Benfica star, Goncalo Guedes. It has now been reported by Lucas Sposito of Sport Witness that Benfica club president Luis Filipe Vieira is in London to negotiate the sale of Guedes to Arsenal.
The report suggests that Arsenal have upped their interest in the player as ‘they are likely to sell Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Manchester City in the summer’. Chamberlain is yet to be offered a new deal from the club while his current contract runs out next summer.
Arsenal are not the only team interested in Guedes, however, as PSG, Manchester United and Monaco have all shown interest in the winger. The 20-year-old has a €60 million release clause in his contract and it seems Benfica are looking to sell to the highest bidder.
