“I should’ve just shut up” – Arsenal boss speaks about sending off
|In what was a frenetic game, Arsenal beat Burnley 2-1 to see the Gunners move up to second place in the League.
Arsenal didn’t play incredibly well but still got three points, two moments in the game, however, will steal the headlines from today’s game: Granit Xhaka’s red card and Arsene Wenger’s sending off. Following the game, Wenger admitted that he was in the wrong and apologised for his lack of control, he told Sky Sports.
“I just should have shut up. I apologise for not having done it. It was nothing malicious. I should have kept my control, even if it was a hectic time.”
The Frenchman also praised the character and fight shown by his team.
“We kept going. We are a relentless team who fights for everything. Every week and every game is an unbelievable fight for everybody.”
